How is Cost of flooring calculated in India
Cost of flooring in India is calculated by multiplying Area with per square feet rate. Lot of Contractors mention rate with or without Tiles. If rate mentioned is with Tiles, you have to clarify how much Tile cost has been assumed by your Contractor.
For example below reference chart tells you average cost of Flooring in Mumbai based on house size.

As area size increases, Contractors are able to give discounted rate. So for a 400 sq ft of work if flooring rate is Rs 100, for a 1000 sq ft area, they will reduce rate by 10-15%.
